Bias: favourite member in a group
They were selecting 500 people, but the number of applicants was insane, so I kinda gave up. Then I got a text message and just memorized the faces of the main contestants. ㅋㅋㅋ
First off, the set was impressive. Knet must have really splurged this season. Maybe they made a ton of money from the female version? ㅋㅋㅋ
Next up, the assistant's face.
I don't watch Korean dramas or movies much, so I only knew Ryu Dohyuk's face and name.
But when I got there, he was even more popular than the trainees! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The person next to me seemed to be there just to see him.
*Spoilers below*
Just like the female version, it had company-based covers.
The companies covered were the four major ones: Seid, Half, KG, and ON Entertainment.
I'm not revealing the songs to avoid getting sued.
SEID
a: This group had the center from the opening song and other popular members, so the reaction was amazing. Plus, they were all handsome and their overall skill level was good.
b: There's a popular member here too, but their skills didn't quite match their visuals... The atmosphere on set turned solemn after this.
KG
a: The member that got hyped up a lot messed up... They'll probably fix it in post-production?
b: Both their visuals and skills were both lacking. Sorry, but they're probably all gonna get eliminated. Actually, I'm not sorry at all.
HALF
a: I almost suffocated from the unpopular members' desperate attempts to show off their charms. The concept was some kind of refreshing song with a vampire concept 🧛. Ugh, the more I think about it, the more hate comments come to mind. Oh, and they had a famous member too.
b: The top-ranked members had good skills, the performance was great. If they had messed up too, I would have flipped them off and stormed out of the venue.
ON
a: It was so cool to see an independent trainee who used to be in ON Entertainment perform so well. Maybe it's because it was a song from his former agency, but his performance was top-notch. The concept felt natural, not forced at all. Though it did feel like he was carrying the whole team... ㅠㅠ
b: It was decent. Compared to the other agencies, the two teams assigned to this one were the best.

The initial spoilers that leaked online were quickly taken down, but screenshots had already spread like wildfire. Every time it refreshed, new posts about the competition popped up. Public reactions varied wildly depending on their favorite contestants. Those rooting for Hyun Sion kept imagining how amazing he would have been performing a song from Seid Entertainment. Meanwhile, the public's reaction to Seha wasn't as positive.
[But On Seha...]
Wasn't he the team leader? He chose a song from his former agency? ㅋㅋ
He's just riding the wave.

Honestly, when I first saw the spoiler, I was like, "Huh...?"
└ You're not the only one who's desperate here, On-shit-ha ㅠ
└ If he chose it himself, isn't that legit cheating? It's not like he's some newbie who'd only been there for a month or two.
└ Who cares if he picked the song? If he performs well, that's all that matters, right? You're just an ONSAM supporter, aren't you? ㅋㅋㅋ
ONSAM: the 3 trainees from ON entertainment (Hyun Sion, Park Yushin, Lee Daeon)
└ I don't even care about Hyun Sion, and the rest are just noobs. What's the big deal? I like the other members better anyway~
└ Yeah, you're just mad because your Sion can't cover ON's songs ㅠㅠ
Due to fragmented spoilers circulating, a misunderstanding arose that Seha chose the song from ON Entertainment. This sparked heated debates between Seha's fans and non-fans.
Amidst this controversy, the second episode of the Reloading Project aired, turning the first performance into an even hotter topic.

Seha watched Episode 2 with Jei in their dorm room. Despite being a four-person room, their other roommates had left to watch it with the trainees they'd been practicing with for the competition.
Episode 2 covered the behind-the-scenes footage of the first episode's judging, the grade re-evaluation, profile shoots, the production announcement, and the opening song performance. What they'd thought would be a filler episode turned out to be crucial for introducing the trainees' backgrounds and personalities early on.
"It's been pretty smooth so far," Jei remarked.
"Yeah, not bad," Seha agreed.
As they watched, Seha and Jei occasionally exchanged comments, checking each other's screen time. Toward the end of the episode, the screen showed the contestants boarding the bus right after their profile shoots.
'I didn't even realize they were filming.'
Seha's expression immediately stiffened at the sight.
[After the A-grade trainees finished their shoots...]
With subtitles, the A-grade participants, including Seha, entered the bus. A faint shot showed Dohyuk gesturing for Seha to sit next to him.
The subsequent segment focused on the trainees who became a hot topic after the press conference. Screenshots of posts praising Hyun Sion's appearance were also aired.
[And here, an unexpected pairing!]
As the narration ended, the screen displayed two photos. Seha, who had been dreading this moment, clutched his head in his hands and muttered, "Please... no..."
He blinked in disbelief and checked the screen again, but nothing changed. It was the exact photo of On Seha and Ryu Dohyuk in the same frame. One showed Dohyuk grabbing Seha by the nape of his neck, while the other captured them smiling brightly at the camera.
"Hyung, you really look good with Assistant-nim."
"Stop it..."
"I'm just telling the truth..."
"Enough!"
Seha whirled around and climbed straight into his bunk bed. Why are the production staff getting involved? They don't even know what's going on...
'Maybe they package us this way precisely because they don't know.'
If they knew Dohyuk disliked him, they wouldn't edit things to make them look like a couple. The production staff, Woo Jei, and even the public—all shipping him with his ex. It was frustrating not a specific person to blame or hate.
"Hyung, are you really not going to watch anymore?"
"I suddenly feel exhausted..."
"Then I'll keep watching and wake you up if anything interesting happens!"
Seha gave in to Jei's enthusiasm. The kid was genuinely kind, except for his tactless comments about how Seha and Dohyuk were a good match. Seha waved his hands in thanks and pulled the blanket over his head.

[(BTS) Who said RyuWol was a failure?]
ryuwol: Dohyuk and Seha's couple name

I found this while rewatching.
It's a scene of them getting on the bus after finishing their A-grade profile shoots.
There's Ryu DH at the very front seat, notice how his head turned?
For reference, when others got in, Ryu DH was like this:
(GIF)
Leaning his chin on his hand, staring out the window.
But when Neck-grabbed guy came over, it's like he was looking at him and trying to start a conversation? It also seemed like he was telling him to sit next to him.

It's confirmed: there's definitely a RyuWol stan within Knet.
Can I ship this as a younger top with unrequited love? 😭
└ Ryu Dohyuk acting like that has gotta be at least the denial stage of unrequited love, right? I'm seriously about to go mad.
└ Why are you getting mad? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Two days before the first ranking announcement, the production team called each trainee in for individual interviews. Seha asked Jei, who was called in earlier and already finished his interview, what questions were asked, but Jei remained tight-lipped and refused to answer.
Left with no choice, Seha head to the interview room completely clueless. A sign on the glass door read "Truth Room."
As he opened the door and entered, a black box sitting on the glass table caught his eye. While Seha was scanning the box, a staff member gently nudged him from behind.
"Oh, you're here! Seha, you can sit here."
As Seha settled into his assigned seat, the questions began. He was asked about his experiences during the training camp, stories about his roommates, and any particularly memorable moments from preparing for the first competition. Seha calmly answered with a smile.
"Alright, let's consider this the introduction," a staff member said, sliding a black box toward Seha. A small hole had been cut into the box, just large enough for a hand to fit through. Seha looked back and forth between the hole and the staff member. The staff member nodded, as if to say, “You guessed right,” and to urge him to put his hand in the hole.
'What could this be...?'
As he pushed his hand inside the box, countless slips of paper filled his palm. Following the staff member's instruction to pick just one, Seha pulled out the first slip his hand touched.
"Read and answer."
"Ah, okay!"
Seha unfolded the crumpled note. In small handwriting, it read: "Read the phrase and tell us who comes to mind!" His gaze drifted downward. He read the bolded phrase aloud:
"Honestly, this person is the most handsome here...?"
Seha hesitated, the faces of the other participants flashing through his mind one by one. He wasn't the type to socialize much, so he knew very few names. If he had to pick the most handsome among the participants...
"Jei or Sion?"
"If you had to choose just one?"
"Hmm..."
It was a difficult choice. Woo Jei was the ideal face of Seid Entertainment, while Hyun Sion embodied the look ON sought. After a long moment of deliberation, Seha slowly parted his lips.
"I'll choose Sion."
"Okay! You can head back to the dorm now, Seha."
The staff member, satisfied with the interview, dismissed Seha. As Seha emerged from the Truth Room, a large figure blocked his path.
"Looks like the interview just finished. You're late."
"Ah, um..."
"Why are you avoiding eye contact again?"
Dohyuk let out a hollow laugh as he watched Seha immediately lower his head without even looking up. He quickly changed the subject.
"The question slip, who did you choose?"
"......"
"......Guess it wasn't me, huh? You took so long."
Why does he seem disappointed? Seha looked at him, puzzled. This time, Dohyuk avoided Seha's gaze.
"I didn't even expect you to pick me."
"I thought we could only pick from the participants..."
It was true. If it included not just participants but the assistant too, he would’ve definitely picked Dohyuk as the best looking person here. Even if their relationship was awkward, that was the truth. Seha tended to be honest about these things.
"Don't flatter me."
"No... I..."
"Move aside. I'm here for the production team meeting too."
Before Seha could correct him, Dohyuk brushed past and entered the Truth Room.
Their relationship seemed to be continuously drifting further apart.
